Amesbury Town Band can trace its history back to the 1860s and, except for a couple of world wars, and a small break in 1969, has been a regular provider of music at local community events held within the small, but historic, Wiltshire town and its surrounding countryside.

We are a band that plays just for pleasure of playing brass band music. We play at fetes, fairs, concerts and service dinners. Aiming to provide a comprehensive variety of music, ideal for such functions, including light orchestral pieces, music from the stage, marches and musical standards.

Our musicians are all local enthusiasts from various walks of life, many of them learning their skills with the Band. Its current strength is approximately 30 and includes a thriving learners' section. New members of any age or musical ability are always welcome. We can provide instruments and tuition free to members. Our only qualification is that you enjoy playing music.
